Il 2020 è stato un anno senza dubbio particolare, che ha visto il mondo confrontarsi con una pandemia globale e imprevista, una situazione che purtroppo non ci siamo ancora lasciati alle spalle, e che potrebbe nuovamente influenzare la vita sociale nei prossimi mesi invernali, e non solo in Italia.
Nel settore culturale si sta già pensando, pur con incertezza e cautela, alle prossime festività natalizie e i anche negozi iniziano già a proporre i primi addobbi. Ma le misure per il contenimento della diffusione del Covid-19 sono ancora necessarie, e seguirle un dovere civico di tutti, e quindi molto probabilmente anche il periodo natalizio sarà condizionato da questa situazione, con diversi eventi che non potranno essere organizzati, o che lo saranno in tono minore.
Tuttavia, anche proprio per questa anomala situazione, pensiamo che ci sia bisogno di tenere il più viva possibile la fiamma delle tradizioni natalizie e contribuire a diffondere in particolare lo spirito di speranza e i valori di fratellanza e condivisione e quindi di unione, che questa festa rappresenta, attraverso qualcosa che riesca ad emozionare ed incoraggiare il nostro spirito come l’arte, per trasporre quanto di buono e vero, al di là delle false ipocrisie, cerca di portare nelle nostre vite questa festa, pensando in modo alternativo a come essere vicini anche da lontano, grazie alle opportunità che ci mette a disposizione la moderna tecnologia.
Abbiamo deciso quindi di lanciare il progetto internazionale di arte postale sul tema: “SANTO NATALE”, con scadenza il 31 gennaio 2021 (anche se non è escluso che possa diventare un progetto permanente). Per questo progetto, al momento, è prevista una esposizione virtuale online sulla nostra pagina Facebook e su un apposito blog che stiamo preparando, per condividere in una grande mostra virtuale, che ci accompagnerà per tutto il periodo delle feste, i messaggi artistici e culturali del Natale degli artisti che parteciperanno al progetto.
L’invito è rivolto a tutti gli artisti, senza limiti di età, livello o abilità, di ogni Paese del mondo, che sono invitati a esprimersi sul tema “Santo Natale”, magari attraverso i riferimenti culturali o le tradizioni del loro Paese. La partecipazione è gratuita e sono ammesse tutte le tecniche artistiche, pittoriche e grafiche, comprese incisioni e foto elaborazioni.
Le opere possono essere inviate via posta in formato cartaceo o via mail in formato digitale. Quanto inviato non sarà restituito. No giuria. No selezione. Non si accettano opere razziste, pornografiche, blasfeme, sessiste, etc…
Le immagini delle opere inviate saranno utilizzate dall’Associazione nei modi e per gli scopi che riterrà opportuni per l’esposizione virtuale e per la promozione del progetto online, senza alcun diritto economico da parte degli artisti invitati a partecipare.

2020 was undoubtedly a particular year, which saw the world confronting a global and unforeseen pandemic, a situation that unfortunately we have not yet left behind, and that could again affect social life in the coming winter months, and not only in Italy.
In the cultural sector, albeit with uncertainty and caution, the next Christmas holidays are already being considered and even the shops are already starting to offer the first decorations. But the measures to contain the spread of Covid-19 are still necessary, and it is everyone’s civic duty to follow them, and therefore most likely the Christmas period will also be affected by this situation, with various events that cannot be organized, or that they will be in a minor tone.
However, also because of this anomalous situation, we think that there is a need to keep the flame of Christmas traditions as alive as possible and to contribute in particular to spread the spirit of hope and the values of brotherhood and sharing and therefore of union, that this holiday represents, through something that manages to excite and encourage our spirit like art, to transpose what is good and true, beyond false hypocrisies, this celebration tries to bring into our lives, thinking in an alternative way about how to be close even from afar, thanks to the opportunities that modern technology makes available to us.
We therefore decided to launch the international mail art project on the theme: “HOLY CHRISTMAS” expiring on January 31, 2021 (although it is not excluded that it can become a permanent project). For this project, at the moment, an online virtual exhibition is planned, on our Facebook page and on a special blog that we are preparing, to share artistic and cultural messages of Christmas of the artists participating in the project, in a large virtual exhibition, which will accompany us throughout the holiday period.
The invitation is addressed to all the artists, regardless of age, level or ability, from every country in the world, who are invited to express themselves on the theme of “Holy Christmas”, perhaps through the cultural references or traditions of their country. Participation is free and all artistic, pictorial and graphic techniques are allowed, including engravings and photo processing.
The works can be sent by mail in paper format or by mail in digital format. Anything sent will not be returned. No jury. No selection. We do not accept racist, pornographic, blasphemous, sexist works, etc …
The images of the works sent will be used by the Association in the ways and for the purposes it deems appropriate for the virtual exhibition and for the promotion of the project online, without any financial rights on the part of the artists invited to participate.
