Oggi manca un mese a Natale, e quest’anno l’Associazione Mirò ha voluto sostenere con maggiore impegno i tradizionali valori che questa festa rappresenta per la valorizzazione del territorio.
Il Natale è diventato ormai una festa universale, ma allo stesso tempo è anche trasversale, perché racchiude in sé l’immagine della nascita, dell’uomo, della luce e della speranza, e questi simbolismi sono potenti e condivisibili anche da chi non si professa, o non è, credente. Oltre al senso religioso cattolico di nascita di Gesù, il Natale ci riporta infatti anche nelle dimensioni del mito e del rito, che accendono luci e speranze proprio nel periodo in cui le tenebre sono più lunghe. Il Natale ci fa ripercorrere gesti che abbiamo appreso fin dall’infanzia, e che si rinnovano tramandandosi di generazione in generazione, ed è al contempo un’opportunità per meditare sul senso e sul valore della nostra esistenza, perchè parla alle coscienze aperte come un evento di novità, l’inizio di qualcosa di bello che prima non c’era e ora è lì, una forza apparentemente debole, ma che può farci attuare scelte di cambiamento. Ma per far questo è importante avere “occhi di lucerna”, come dicevano gli antichi, cioè avere occhi pieni di luce e quindi prestare attenzione alle cose intorno a noi, da assaporare con spirito nuovo. È l’occasione per farsi alcune fondamentali domande: mi sono e mi sto comportando in modo onesto, corretto, leale con i miei simili? Ho danneggiato qualcuno? Ho mancato in qualcosa con la mia famiglia, con gli amici? C’era o c’è qualcosa che posso fare per qualcuno? Questa è la logica capovolta del Natale, in cui le cose piccole e apparentemente deboli, se applicate, diventano quelle di cui abbiamo bisogno per guardare al futuro, insegnandoci ad essere generosi, a dare, non solo a ricevere, e soprattutto l’importanza del rispetto per questa ricorrenza sacra, che non va profanata, dai cuori e dalle menti, né con il consumismo né con quel relativismo, tipico dei nostri giorni, che mira a soddisfare ogni smania, anche se futile, dispendiosa, o illegittima, senza curarsi delle conseguenze.
Verso questi valori e questo sguardo chiaro è indirizzato “Natale in Valcerrina“.
“Natale in Valcerrina” è un’iniziativa, coordinata dall’Associazione Mirò, che intende promuovere il territorio e il turismo responsabile attraverso un “percorso” di presepi esterni, installazioni, mostre ed eventi natalizi in Valcerrina nel periodo delle festività 2016-2017, al fine di trasmettere lo spirito natalizio e per rallegrare ed illuminare il territorio durante le feste.
L’iniziativa è identificata da un logo, una palla natalizia con un paesaggio collinare stilizzato con una cometa, che unisce simboli del Natale sacro e profano al paesaggio della Valcerrina. Ogni installazione aderente è identificata da un pannello con questo logo, che sarà visibile accanto ad essa. Sono diversi gli aderenti a quello che speriamo sia un “anno pilota” di questa iniziativa, sia privati che associazioni, che hanno realizzato opere natalizie in alcuni paesi della zona della Valcerrina, caratterizzate dal fatto di essere nella maggior parte liberamente visibili in qualsiasi momento. I paesi dove si potranno ammirare le installazioni natalizie di “Natale in Valcerrina 2016-2017” saranno: Villamiroglio, Vallegioliti, Moncestino, Varengo, Cantavenna, Vallestura, Solonghello e Serralunga di Crea, dove saranno visibili dall’8 Dicembre 2016 sino a fine Gennaio 2017, salvo diversa indicazione.

Today it’s a month before Christmas, and this year the Association Mirò wants to support with greater commitment the traditional values that this festivity represent to promote the territory.
Christmas has become now a universal festivity, but at the same time it is also transversal, because it contains within itself the image of the birth of man, of light and of hope, and these symbols are powerful and also shared by those who do not profess to be, or it is not, a believer. In addition to Catholic religious sense of the birth of Jesus, Christmas shows us so also the dimensions of myth and ritual, that turn on lights and hope in time when the darkness is longer. Christmas makes us retrace gestures that we have learned since childhood, and renew passed down from generation to generation, and is also at the same time an opportunity to meditate on the meaning and value of our existence, because it’s about to open minds as an event of novelty, the beginning of something beautiful that was not there before and now iy is, a seemingly weak force, but that can make us implement change choices. But to do this it is important to have “eyes of lamp”, as the ancients said, to have eyes full of light, and then pay attention to the things around us, to be enjoyed with a new spirit. It is an opportunity to make to ourself some fundamental questions: I’m being honest, fair, loyal to my fellow men? I damaged anyone? I missed something with my family, with friends? There was or is there anything I can do to anybody? This is the upsiddowne logic of Christmas, where the little things and seemingly weak, if applied, become the ones we need to look forward, teaching us to be generous, to give, not just receive, and especially the importance of respect for this sacred occasion, not to be polluted, by hearts and minds, nor with consumerism nor with the relativism, typical of our times, which aims to satisfy all desire, even if futile, wasteful, or illegitimate, regardless of consequences.
Towards these values and this clear gaze is directed “Natale in Valcerrina“.
“Natale in Valcerrina” is an initiative, coordinated by Association Mirò, which aims to promote the territory and tourism in Monferrato through a “path” of external nativity scenes, installations, exhibitions and Christmas events in Valcerrina in the holiday’ s period of 2016-2017 season, in order to convey the Christmas spirit and to cheer and brighten the area during the holidays. The initiative is identified by a logo, a Christmas ball with a stylized hilly landscape with a comet, which combines the sacred and secular Christmas symbols to the landscape of Valcerrina. Each installation partecipating is identified by a panel with this logo, which will be visible next to it.
Are several the participants to what we hope is a “pilot year” of this initiative, both privates and associations, who have realized Christmas works in different towns of the Valcerrina area, characterized by being in most freely visible at any time.
The towns where you can admire the Christmas installations of “Natale in Valcerrina 2016-2017” will be: Villamiroglio, Vallegioliti, Moncestino, Varengo, Cantavenna, Vallestura, Solonghello and Serralunga di Crea, where they will be visible from 8 December 2016 until end of January 2017, unless otherwise indicated.
